SAN VICENTE, Palawan — Company unit officers of the 33rd Marine Company of the Marine Battalion Landing Team-3 (MBLT-3) paid a courtesy call recently to municipal government officials here in a bid to strengthen cooperation with them and the residents.

Capt. Jilmar Gantalao, the commanding officer of the 33rd Marine Company, led the visit on March 3

Gantalao said paying courtesy calls to local government officials is not only a part of their customary practices as a newly-appointed unit or officer but a way too to build up their relationship with the town, knowing they will be serving its people.

The 33rd Marine Company officers also paid courtesy calls to the San Vicente Municipal Police Station, Palawan State University (PSU) campus teachers, and other government offices.

“We are very fortunate to be assigned in San Vicente. We are here to give courtesy calls to further ensure the strong bond between us and the members of the community whom we are serving,” Gantalao said.

“We are looking forward to working here in the beautiful town of San Vicente,” he added.

Gantalao said more than the support of local government officials, they are also hoping to work closely with the residents of different barangays for a peaceful San Vicente.
