Lawyer Teodoro Jose Matta, former head of the provincial government’s legal office, has assumed his new posting as executive director of the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD).

Matta took his oath Wednesday before Palawan vice governor and vice chairman of PCSD Dennis Socrates.

The ceremony was witnessed by Vice Admiral Rene V. Medina of the Western Command, and Atty. Adelina Benavente-Villena, who was the acting executive director of PCSD for about two months.

A regular council immediately preceded the ceremony which tackled the proposed resolution providing the guidelines in the processing of PCSD permits, clearances, and other similar instruments during the period covered by the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Palawan Governor Jose Alvarez, business representative Bobby Castro and NGO representative Atty. Jansen Jontilla participated in the Council meeting through video conferencing.
