A 27-year-old man was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation conducted by authorities on Baltan Street, Barangay San Miguel, Puerto Princesa City, on the evening of May 3.
The suspect, whose name was withheld by police, is a resident of Barangay Bagong Silang in the city.
Seized from him were two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, which he allegedly sold to a police poseur buyer, as well as the marked money worth P1,500 used in the operation.
Authorities also learned that the suspect had previously been jailed for involvement in the illegal drug trade.
The suspect remains in police custody and will face charges for violating Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Arestado ang isang 27 anyos na lalaki sa ikinasang drug buy-bust operation ng mga awtoridad sa Baltan Street, Brgy. San Miguel, Puerto Princesa City kamakalawa ng gabi, May 3.
Ang suspek na hindi pinangalanan ng pulisya ay residente ng Brgy. Bagong Silang, lungsod na ito.
Nakuha mula sa suspek ang dalawang plastic sachet na naglalaman ng hinihinalang shabu na ibinenta nito sa poseur buyer ng pulisya gayundin ang marked money na nagkakahalaga ng P1,500 na ginamit sa operasyon.
Napag-alaman din na dati nang nakulong ang suspek matapos masangkot sa pagbebenta ng ipinagbabawal na gamot.
Samantala, nasa kustodiya pa rin ng pulisya ang suspek na mahaharap sa kasong paglabag sa Republic Act No. 9165 o ang Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
