Police authorities are investigating the killing of a 53-year old Bantay Dagat employee of the municipal government of Narra who was found buried in a septic tank on Tuesday in Brgy. Bato-Bato with his penis cut off in a suspected love triangle crime.
Bato-Bato barangay captain Ernesto B. Ferrer, Jr. said the Narra Municipal Police Station (MPS) has already ordered a manhunt for two persons of interest in the murder of Erwin Guzman, a resident of Purok Maligaya, Brgy. Taritien who worked as a municipal government maritime enforcer.
Ferrer did not name the suspects but a spot report obtained by Palawan News from sources named them as Jay-Ar Colas and his wife Analiza, residents of Purok 4 in Bato-Bato.
He said Guzman’s body was found after his son Jhonjelle sought the assistance of a certain Engr. Edgardo Parco around 7-8 a.m. on July 2 to go to Purok 4 in the house of the two persons of interest.
He said they saw blood stains under the stairs of the house, prompting them to believe Jhonjelle and to call the town police.
When operatives of the Narra MPS arrived in the area, they excavated the septic tank and found Guzman’s body with two stab wounds and his severed penis not lying far from him.
Ferrer said the couple who owned the house could be considered suspects because aside from using the cellular phone of Guzman, they also fled using the motorcycle he owns.
Ferrer said the suspects are from Aklan and that the husband was facing a rape case.
“Dati ng may kasong rape ang isang person of interest. Nawala na siya dito ng matagal tapos lately lang nagbalik sa Bato-Bato,” he said.
Narra MPS case investigator Police Senior Master Sergeant Ronaldo Castro confirmed to Palawan News in a separate interview that they are looking for the Colas couple whom they suspect is responsible for the victim’s murder.
