A live-in couple’s domestic argument on the night of March 17 in Brgy. Buena Suerte, El Nido, led to a loss of life, the provincial police reported.
The Palawan Police Provincial Office (PalPPO) said the incident began with a household conflict between the couple, which quickly became violent.
The victim, whose identity was revealed as “Nilo,” and the suspect, who was only named as “Rina,” are both from Buena Suerte and are 30 years old.
Preliminary police inquiry claimed that the victim slapped his wife after the pair got into a furious dispute in their home and exchanged abusive remarks.
The suspect became agitated and proceeded to stab the victim in the abdomen with a knife that she had taken from under their cabinet.
Shortly after obtaining medical assistance, the victim passed away as a result of the serious knife wound. The deceased was brought to El Nido Community Hospital during the emergency situation.
As of this writing, she is being held in jail at the El Nido Municipal Police Station.
