Korean actor Park Seo Joon’s agency announced on Friday that he would star in a Marvel Studios film, months after he was reported to be joining actress Brie Larson in the sequel to “Captain Marvel.”
Awesome ENT, his agency, announced on his Facebook page that the actor has left Korea to fly to the U.S. to join the filming of the Marvel movie.
Park Seo Joon’s agency, however, did not disclose any other details regarding the movie.
“Hello, this is actor Park Seo Joon’s agency, Awesome ENT. Park Seo Joon confirmed his appearance in The Marvel Studios movie and left the country this afternoon. First of all, we would like to thank the many people who have shown interest and support for Park Seo Joon’s new challenge. We are well aware that many people are curious about the name of the work, the character, the filming location, and the filming period. More information about the movie will be announced at a later date,” Awesome ENT said.
According to Korea’s news site Soompi, Park Seo Joon is the third Korean actor to star in a Marvel movie after Claudia Kim, who starred in “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and Ma Dong Seok in Eternals.
Park Seo Joon is well known for his major roles in Korean dramas such as She Was Pretty, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?, Fight My Way and Itaewon Class.
