Sixty detainees inside the Puerto Princesa City Jail (PPCJ) received free eye services from the Institute for Prevention of Ocular Diseases (IPOD) and the Palawan Adventist Hospital.

Dr. Ermen D. Estrobo, IPOD optometrist, said on March 6 it is their honor to help the detainees because he has something to offer and is willing to share it to them.

He added that they will continue this program to the best of their ability.

The program also includes regular worship service every Saturday but the medical assistance depends on the availability of the optometrist.

The advocacy of the program aims to help people with optical problems, especially senior citizens.
