Four Points by Sheraton Palawan starts Christmas season with tree lighting near Underground River

Four Points by Sheraton Palawan marked the start of the Christmas season with the lighting of its tree on December 2 near the world-famous Underground River in Sitio Sabang, Barangay Cabayugan, Puerto Princesa City, as part of its second anniversary celebration.

The tree stood at the center of the hotel’s pool deck. It was built with bamboo poles and decorated with woven hats, fans, shells, nets, and native ornaments.

Warm lights ran from the star at the top down to the base, giving the structure a soft glow against the night sky.

General Manager Dietmar Platz opened the program by reflecting on the hotel’s recent milestones and the year ahead.

“Tonight, as we light the Christmas Tree, we celebrate not only its milestones but the people behind, all of you here. 2025 is remarkable and 2026 will be promising and unforgettable,” he said.

“We look forward to open our Palawan Beach Club, a new special that features our resort offering and guest experience. We are offering at pickle ball court, one of the most fast growing sports and others,” GM Dietmar added.

He was joined at the event by City Tourism Officer Demetrio Alvior, AATAPPP President Bryan Joyn Dizon, partners, stakeholders, friends, and guests.

Children and students from Sabang Elementary School and the Palawan National School Folk Dancers performed for the crowd.

The dancers circled the tree in bright costumes as bamboo poles clapped in rhythm.

GM Dietmar also thanked local leaders and partners for their support, along with guests who encouraged them and associates who, he said, brought life to the establishment.
