An elderly fisherman, who was stranded at sea for five days, was rescued near Panay Bank on January 30.
Jhonny Fabilla, 64, from Mindoro, was on a fishing trip when his boat became stranded because of engine failure, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Station Eastern Palawan reported on Tuesday.
The Coast Guard stated that he was stranded on January 29 and was rescued the following day by fishermen aboard the FB Queen III Irma. He was turned over to their custody on February 3.
