A motorcycle rider who worked as a fish vendor died after colliding with a van along the national highway in Crossing II, Barangay Tabon, Quezon, Palawan at around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 23.
The victim was identified as alias Bal, 61, a resident of Barangay Calategas in Narra. The driver of the van, identified only as alias Jr., 41, is a resident of Barangay Sagpangan, Quezon.
Initial police investigation showed that the victim was heading toward Narra when he was hit by an oncoming van, causing him serious injuries.
He was rushed to Quezon Medicare Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending doctors.

The van driver is now under the custody of the Quezon Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
