The Roxas police have arrested a 53-year old man who allegedly hacked and wounded his father following a heated argument between the two during a drinking session.
The incident occurred Tuesday in Sitio Panyan, Barangay Caramay, Roxas. According to the police report, the suspect, Welson Agnas Tabangay, fled after the incident but was eventually caught by responding policemen.
P/Maj. Ric Ramos of the Palawan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) identified the victim as 78-year-old Artemio Lagrosa Tabangay. He suffered head injuries and was treated at the Roxas Medicare Hospital.

Welson will be facing a case of frustrated parricide, the police said.
