The Department of Social Welfare and Development MIMAROPA deployed its Incident Management Team to Coron, Palawan to reinforce safety and emergency preparedness for the upcoming 44th ASEAN Capital Market Forum.
The agency said the team is now positioned in critical areas in Coron to monitor developments and ensure immediate response to any incident during the regional gathering, which will bring delegates and stakeholders to Palawan.
The IMT is assigned to conduct situation monitoring, provide rapid response, document incidents and coordinate with concerned agencies to ensure organized and timely action when needed.
According to DSWD MIMAROPA, the deployment forms part of its operational readiness measures to support both residents and event participants, while ensuring that logistical and operational requirements are closely supervised.
