The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Provincial Office in Palawan has completed a follow-up audit meant to determine whether its systems and services continue to meet international quality-management standards.
Conducted remotely on August 26, the first surveillance audit reviewed the office’s compliance with ISO 9001:2015, a standard covering how organizations manage, document, monitor and improve their operations.
Unlike an initial certification audit, a surveillance audit is conducted periodically to check whether an office continues to follow the systems it established after receiving certification.
The completion of the audit means DAR Palawan demonstrated that it continues to implement the required procedures for managing its operations and delivering services to agrarian reform beneficiaries and other clients.
DAR Palawan said the assessment covered relevant processes and systems despite being conducted remotely. It also showed how the office uses coordination, monitoring and evaluation to maintain its operations.
The office said maintaining the certification requires the participation of officials and employees in following documented procedures and upholding quality, integrity, efficiency and effectiveness in public service.
DAR Palawan also committed to improving its processes, documentation and service delivery based on established standards.
The office, however, did not disclose whether auditors issued observations, recommendations or findings that would require corrective action. It also did not identify the specific services or processes examined during the audit.
