A provincial board member has urged Governor Amy Alvarez to convene an agricultural task force that will study and submit plans for establishing a province-wide dairy production industry.
The proposal was raised through proposed Resolution No. 0164-25, authored by Board Member Maria Angela Sabando, during the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s regular session on August 5.
The resolution seeks to form a group that will lead the development of a local dairy industry in Palawan. Sabando said this will help boost food resilience, address malnutrition, and provide livelihood in rural communities.
She said Governor Amy’s administration can lead the creation of the agricultural task force to study the possibility, plan, and implement the initiative.
The measure was approved on first and final reading.
