An assistant municipal engineer of Culion town was found dead on the shore of Pichiwan, Barangay Malaking Patag, Culion, Saturday noon.
In a spot report, P/Col. Socrates Faltado, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, identified him as Nerio Daganta Palay, 63-years-old and a resident of Brgy. Balala.
Police authorities disclosed that on Friday afternoon, Palay went fishing on board a paddle boat.
Palay was found dead on the shore the next day with no body injury and concluded that his possible death could be from drowning.
Palay’s body was brought to the Sanitarium and General Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
