The Culandanum Bridge along the Aramaywan-Berong-Puerto Princesa Road in Aborlan town is now open to traffic following rehabilitation work by the Department of Public Works and Highways.
The DPWH Palawan 3rd District Engineering Office replaced damaged drain pipes and fixed slope protection on the 60-meter concrete bridge.
The project also included earthworks and other repairs to strengthen the structure.
DPWH Mimaropa said the repairs were needed to keep the bridge safe for motorists and pedestrians.
It added that the improvements would help prevent accidents, reduce closures during typhoons and heavy rains, and extend the bridge’s lifespan.
