Eighteen suspect category patients from Palawan have tested negative for COVID-19, according to the Department of Health monitoring report.
Five out of the 18 negative test results included the deceased suspect COVID-19 patients from Puerto Princesa City, according to chief of city information office (CIO) Richard Ligad.
“Just received a phone [call na] lahat ng PUI death natin ay dumating na [ang] result. Lahat sila ay negative,” Ligad said in his Facebook post.
Ligad also announced that one female suspect COVID-19 patient died Wednesday. The patient was 40 to 45 years old, and was from an urban barangay. She was swabbed and was pending test result.
“May suspect case na naman tayong sumakabilang buhay. Na-swab na din at siya ay nasa urban barangay, female, 40 to 45 years old, at meron din siyang ibang karamdaman. Hinihintay na lang natin ang result,” Ligad added.
The recent suspect COVID-19 patient death brings the total casualties in Palawan to 34.
The island province currently monitors a total of 64 suspect COVID-19 patients, 21 of whom were admitted in different hospitals while the remaining 43 were under strict home quarantine, according to Department of Health (DOH) Center for Health Development (CHD) MIMAROPA, as of 3 p.m., Wednesday (May 13).
