Regionwide, MIMAROPA recorded a total of 11,358 cases by September 20, up from 10,932 on September 6 and 11,110 on September 13.
The number of deaths increased slightly from 66 to 68 between September 6 and 13 but did not rise further.
Occidental Mindoro had the second highest tally with 3,505 cases, mostly in Sablayan with 749, San Jose with 519, and Mamburao with 463. Oriental Mindoro reported 968 cases, Romblon had 425, and Marinduque had 297.
Despite the increase, the number of barangays with case clustering dropped from 60 in early September to 47 by September 20.
Health officials also said most patients, or 46 percent, were children aged 1 to 10 years old, and 57 percent were treated in government hospitals.
The regional figure remains lower compared to the same period last year, when MIMAROPA had already recorded more than 14,000 cases.
