Three fishermen were rescued by the personnel of the Coast Guard Station (CGS) El Nido after their boat capsized early morning Friday in the vicinity of Cauayan Island Resort, El Nido.

Lt/Jg April Bernal, acting station commander, said the fishing boat capsized due to the turbulent sea condition when they reached their fishing ground.

After they capsized, he said that another fishing boat chanced upon the distressed vessel and managed to bring one of its crew to the town to report to Coast Guard authorities and ask for help.
