City PNP to heighten police visibility, intensify ops during summer

The Puerto Princesa City Police Office will strengthen its operations and heighten police visibility in the city to ensure peace and security during the summer vacation period from March 29 to May 31, 2026, under the PNP’s nationwide “Ligtas SumVac 2026” campaign.

In anticipation of the influx of vacationers, the City PNP is set to put up Police Assistance Desks in key areas such as transport terminals, churches, commercial areas, and popular tourist destinations to provide assistance to the public.

City PNP director PCol Cristine Tabdi also directed all police stations under her command to follow protocols in all operations, including coordination with partner agencies such as the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Local Government Units (LGUs), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and City Traffic Management Office (CTMO).

Tabdi also encouraged the public to remain vigilant and follow safety precautions at all times, noting that public safety is a collective effort.
