The health medical complex located inside Balayong People’s Park in Barangay Sta. Monica is now 98% complete, based on the assessment of the city architect.
Mayor Lucilo Bayron shared the update yesterday on his official Facebook page after conducting an inspection of the facility on October 22.
The Puerto Princesa City Health Medical Complex was originally funded at ₱200 million, later increased to ₱315.6 million. Based on the latest information, the city government’s total allocation for the project has reached ₱450 million.
He said that once the project is completed and turned over to the city government, it will immediately be opened to the public.
The mayor earlier said the new health facility is part of the city government’s broader plan to ensure that all residents have access to reliable and nearby medical services.
Among the services that will be available at the Puerto Princesa City Health Medical Complex are general consultations, dental services, laboratory testing for clinical and molecular needs, digital X-ray and ultrasound imaging, birthing services, family planning, nutrition services, pre-natal consultations, free vaccinations, animal bite treatment, tuberculosis management under TB-DOTS, and screening at the Social Hygiene Clinic.
Meanwhile, the city government is also planning to establish a separate hemodialysis unit as a “stand-alone service.”
