The provincial government has given P2,000 cash incentive to athletes who won gold in the MIMAROPA Regional Athletic Association meet in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.

Grace Estefano, information officer of the Department of Education (DepEd) in Palawan, said the cash awards were released to the winners immediately after the sports event.

Winners of silver and bronze medals will also receive cash incentives, but the amount will still be determined.
