Camella Puerto Princesa marked its 14th anniversary by transforming its residential community into a hub for local entrepreneurship and social connection through a neighborhood bazaar and sustainability-driven activities.
The celebration, led by marketing head Erica Jane Espiritu, centered on creating opportunities for homeowners and local vendors to interact, breaking routine neighborhood patterns while supporting small businesses in the city.
“Ang main goal ay i-break ang ‘uwi-bahay’ routine para mag-connect ang mga homeowners, habang nagiging bridge ito para ma-discover at ma-support ang mga local businesses dito sa Puerto Princesa,” Espiritu said.
The bazaar provided local entrepreneurs a platform to reach new customers and expand their networks within the community.

Among them was Ailes Seah Gabinete, owner of Yeomju, who underscored the importance of such initiatives for small businesses.
“As a small business, very privileged kami na sumali sa ganitong event. As a small owner, ito ‘yung chance namin para ma-showcase kung ano ‘yung meron kami. We get to be discovered by the locals, and we gain new customers and connections through this event,” Gabinete said.
Beyond commerce, the event featured raffles, games, and a talent show for children, reinforcing the role of shared activities in strengthening community ties among residents.
Camella also integrated an Earth Hour observance into the anniversary, highlighting its push for environmental awareness and sustainable living practices within the subdivision.
The initiative reflects a broader shift in residential developments toward building not just housing, but inclusive and interactive communities that support both social engagement and local economic growth.
As it moves forward, Camella Puerto Princesa said it aims to sustain similar initiatives that empower residents and local businesses while fostering a more connected and environmentally conscious community.
