The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has conferred its Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) award to the municipality of Brooke’s Point, in recognition of its compliant human resource (HR) management systems and processes.
Proserpina Abrea, the municipality’s human resource manager, told Palawan News they received the PRIME-HRM Bronze Award Maturity Level II-Accreditation after being selected in the provincial assessment and recommended for the regional level award.
“Sa program kasi ng PRIME-HRM, kung na-meet mo ang criteria ng PRIME-HRM ay magiging candidate ka sa Bronze Award ng maturity level ng national which is ito na itong award na ito ngayon,” she said.
In 2012, the Commission adopted the program to promote excellence in HR management.
As part of the evaluation, each local government unit (LGU) or agency should meet four criteria such as recruitment, selection and placement, performance management, learning and development, and rewards and recognition.
“The Commission found that Brooke’s Point has met the PRIME-HRM Level 2 maturity indicators. It was also found to be consistently compliant with the CSC law and rules in terms of the implementation of the other human resource programs and maintenance of other HR records,” the CSC stated in its resolution.
The resolution was posted at the CSC Palawan Filed Office on July 1, promulgated on February 11, 2020, and signed by Chairman Alicia dela Rosa-Bala, Commissioners Leopoldo Roberto Valderosa Jr. and Aileen Lourdes Lizada.
“Tuwang-tuwa kami, sabi nga ng mga staff ko, ito ay bunga ng determinasyon at pagpupursege, pagtatrabaho ng mula sa puso at patunay na ang Brooke’s Point ay sumusunod sa lahat ng programa,” Abrea said.
