BROOKE’S POINT, Palawan — The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), in coordination with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) South Central Palawan Station, conducted a joint Greyhound operation at the Brooke’s Point District Jail on Thursday, March 19.
The operation, carried out inside the persons deprived of liberty (PDL) dormitory, aimed to ensure a safe, secure, and orderly environment by intensifying efforts to eliminate all forms of contraband.
Personnel from both agencies conducted a thorough inspection of the facility to ensure compliance with jail rules and regulations.
No contraband was found during the operation, indicating sustained adherence to security protocols within the facility.
BJMP MIMAROPA spokesperson JO3 Joefrie Anglo said the initiative underscores the importance of sustained and collaborative efforts in maintaining order in detention facilities.
“This operation reflects the strong coordination between agencies and the continued effectiveness of our security measures. The absence of contraband affirms our shared commitment to maintaining a safe, orderly, and drug-free environment for both personnel and persons deprived of liberty,” Anglo said.
The BJMP reiterated its commitment to strict enforcement of policies aimed at preventing unlawful activities and sustaining a drug-free and incident-free environment in all its facilities. (PR)
