Bataraza mayor Abraham Ibba said they will be hosting this year’s Palarong Panlalawigan, hoping to hold it in their new P300-million sports complex in Barangay Marangas that is expected to be completed in June.

One of the biggest infrastructure projects in Bataraza, Ibba said the construction of the sports complex started in September 2018 in a 10-hectare property and is now nearing completion.

By June and after finishing touches, he said it will be ready to host the Palarong Panlalawigan.

The sports complex in Barangay Marangas near the new public market has a modern design, he said and follows international standards.

It has two covered gyms measuring 1,200 square meters and 2,400 square meters. It will also have four outdoor play courts and an international standard swimming pool.
