CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed by the Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro (PGOrM) and the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), the province will soon have its own anti-red tape office, the second bureau in the country.
Signatories to the MOU are Mindoro Chamber of Commerce President and Former Oriental Mindoro Gov. Benjamin “Chippy” Espiritu, ARTA Director-General Jeremiah Belgica, Oriental Mindoro Provincial Governor Humerlito “Bonz” Dolor, Oriental Mindoro Provincial Vice Governor Antonio “Jojo” Perez. Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan also served as witnesses during the signing at the Provincial Capitol Complex.
ARTA is mandated to implement Republic Act No. 11032: An Act Promoting Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Delivery of Government Services amending Republic Act No. 9485 or the Anti-Red Tape Act of 2007.
“Notably, third among the 10-point Socio-Economic agenda of President Duterte is to improve the capacity and facilitate business in our country by reducing red tape in the government,” Gov. Bonz stated.
