Joint personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the United States Armed Forces turned over a school building and a health center constructed through the Humanitarian Civic Assistance (HCA) program as part of Exercise Balikatan 40-2025 to their intended beneficiaries in the towns of Brooke’s Point and Rizal.
The two-classroom school building constructed in Sitio Limbasan, Barangay Ipilan, Brooke’s Point, was officially handed over to the school officials of Felipe Irader Elementary School on May 7.
The new classrooms, which can accommodate 60 students, offer additional comfort and safety to elementary learners and provide a more conducive learning environment.
Meanwhile, the Community Health Care Center in Sitio Manggahan, Barangay Iraan, Rizal, will deliver essential medical services to the local population, bringing much-needed healthcare access to residents.
Barangays Ipilan and Iraan were chosen as beneficiaries of Balikatan’s HCA program due to their classification as geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas (GIDAs).
