A disturbance involving intoxicated individuals outside a local bar prompted the intervention of personnel of the Puerto Princesa City Anti Crime Task Force (ACTF) early Thursday morning.
A report posted by the task force on We R1 at Your Service stated that a concerned citizen alerted them at around 5:10 a.m. about a possible altercation near Jollibee along Rizal Avenue. However, upon arriving at the scene, they found no signs of trouble. As they proceeded towards Mendoza Park, they were flagged down by a bouncer at UG Bar.
The bouncer informed ACTF that several intoxicated patrons were causing a commotion outside the establishment. The individuals, identified only by their aliases—Jun Jun, Melvin, and Ronnie—are all of legal age and residents of Barangay San Manuel. Jun Jun and Melvin, visibly drunk, reportedly accused UG Bar’s bouncers of assaulting them, claiming they were punched, which led to their outburst.
Meanwhile, Ronnie, another member of the group, was found lying unconscious nearby due to intoxication.
ACTF escorted Jun Jun and Melvin to Police Station 1 for proper disposition. However, efforts to invite the bar’s bouncers to the station for further inquiry were unsuccessful.
The officers subsequently turned over the case to the station for further investigation and handling.
Authorities have yet to confirm whether charges will be filed regarding the incident.
