A man was arrested by operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Palawan for allegedly selling a firearm in Barangay Iraan, Aborlan, on May 17.
The suspect was identified as alias “Jerry,” 49 years old, and a resident of the same barangay.
Authorities recovered from him a caliber .45 pistol, a magazine, six rounds of ammunition, and ₱26,000 in marked money used during the buy-bust operation.
As of this writing, the suspect remains in the custody of CIDG Palawan and is facing charges for violating Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and Batas Pambansa Bilang 881, or the Omnibus Election Code.
