A fire broke out in a residential area in Liberty-Quimson, Barangay Bagong Sikat, around 3 p.m. on January 27.
Residents said the fire may have started from a curtain, although the exact cause remains unclear.
Strong winds and the light materials used in nearby houses allowed the flames to spread rapidly.
A lumber yard is also located in the area, increasing the risk and intensity of the fire.
The total number of affected homes has not yet been confirmed.

One homeowner said he had just dropped off his grandchild at school and, upon returning, found their house already engulfed in flames.
Fire protection authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fire and assess the extent of the damage.
