Operatives of the Western Naval Command (Wesnavcom) aboard the Philippine Navy vessel BRP Lolinato To-Ong (PG-902) recovered a package containing suspected illegal drugs floating near Sabina Shoal in the West Philippine Sea.

A report from Wesnavcom said it received information about a black bag containing an unidentified package believed to be high-grade marijuana in the vicinity of Sabina Shoal at around 6 p.m. on October 17, and immediately sent BRP Lolinato To-Ong to the area to search for the contraband.

The item was found and retrieved at around 6:40 a.m. the following day and was brought to this city.

Upon arrival on Monday, October 20, the package was immediately turned over to personnel of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for evaluation and proper disposition.
