More than 700 beneficiaries attended the TUPAD orientation held Tuesday, October 14, at the Balayong Basketball Court.
The event was organized by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Palawan, in partnership with the City Public Employment Service Office (PESO)–Puerto Princesa and the City Mayor’s Office.
The Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program aims to provide temporary employment to displaced, underemployed, and seasonal workers in the city.
During the orientation, beneficiaries were briefed on program policies, work schedules, and safety guidelines to be observed during their assignments.
According to City PESO, the project forms part of the city government’s ongoing commitment to deliver assistance and livelihood opportunities to Puerto Princesans.
