A drinking session among friends in Barangay Dumarao, Roxas, Palawan, took an unfortunate turn on the afternoon of Sunday, March 2, when an altercation led to a stabbing incident.
The Palawan Police Provincial Office (PalPPO) identified the victim only as alias Jhon, a 23-year-old laborer and a resident of San Vicente, Palawan, while the suspect is a child in conflict with the law (CICL).
According to the initial police investigation in Roxas, the suspect and the victim were drinking with some friends when a heated argument broke out between the two.
Following the altercation, the suspect went into his room, but the victim allegedly followed him and continued to taunt him. This provoked the suspect, who then stabbed the victim.
After the incident, the suspect quickly fled the scene, while the victim was immediately rushed to the hospital for medical treatment.
Authorities are currently conducting further investigations and searching for the suspect. They did not provide any update regarding the victim, as of this writing.
