Palawan State University began a series of meetings as early as October to prepare for this year’s Southern Tagalog Regional Association of State Universities and Colleges (STRASUC) Olympics, aiming to fully accommodate 10 other state colleges and universities within the city.
From October 21 to the 25, the institution will play host to the STRASUC Olympics, which will feature competitors from 10 other universities.
These colleges include Batangas State University, Cavite State University, Southern Luzon State University, University of Rizal System, Laguna State Polytechnic University, Western Philippines University, Occidental Mindoro State College, Romblon State University, Mindoro State University, and Marinduque State University.
Claire Mendoza, Palawan State University’s (Palawan SU) public information officer, stated that they are already processing more than 1,000 athletes from the said delegations.
The STRASUC Olympics 2024 will be held at Palawan State University’s main campus in Brgy. Tiniguiban, which will also serve as accommodations for the student-athletes.
“Yung mga VIPs natin sa labas, yung mga delegates dito sa amin,” she said, noting that more details of their preparations will be discussed in subsequent meetings with Palawan SU’s technical working group.
