Two persons riding on a motorcycle died in a head-on collision with a truck Friday in Sitio Palwood, Barangay 4, Roxas town.
According to P/Lt. Col. Socrates Faltado, spokesperson of Police Regional Office-MIMAROPA, the accident happened after the motorcycle driver tried to overtake another vehicle, and occupied the opposite lane of an Isuzu truck traveling towards Puerto Princesa City.
The police report identified the motorcycle driver as Niko Jusos Lapenis, 18, and his passenger Mark Dave Gregorio Llano, 20, old both students and residents of Barangay Abaroan. The Isuzu truck driver was identified as Jade Arzad Kolas Bernardo, 45, a businessman and a resident of Sofronio Española.
The two fatalities died on the spot while the truck driver sustained minor injuries and was brought to Roxas Medicare hospital for treatment.
