Typhoon ‘Wutip” has weakened into a tropical depression as it makes its way inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR)
The local office of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said it is expected to enter the PAR Thursday evening or dawn of Friday.
Sonny Pajarilla, local weather agency chief, said Wutip, the second tropical depression in the country for 2019, will be called “Betty” when it is already inside the PAR.
Inaasahan naman na hihina pa ‘ýan within the day dahil sa malamig na hanging amihan,” he said.
Wutip will not affect any parts of the country and will not also hit the land in the Philippines.
Pajarilla said it will dissolve in the next three days due to the strength of the northeast monsoon that continuously prevails in the country.
Pajarilla added that the speed of the wind is moderate, resulting to mild condition of the sea.
The weather will be cloudy yet rainfalls are less likely to occur and the mood of temperature will be warm at noon and afternoon.
