The Western Command (WESCOM) in partnership with the US-Navy Seabees turned over a two-room school building to the Estrella Village National High School in Narra municipality last month.

Vice Admiral Rene Medina, WESCOM commander, said during the press conference on Monday, that they turned over the school building on July 24.

The construction of the school building is part of the continuing PH-US bilateral activities, he said.

Medina said one of the activities was the conduct of a humanitarian-civic assistance project.

Capt. Jason Ramon, chief of Public Affairs Office of WESCOM, told Palawan News that the project is in coordination with the Joint Task Force Peacock and the 3rd Marine Brigade.

“They chose the beneficiary school, ” he said.

The construction of the building started on April this year and after completion was turned over last month.

The  Armed Forces of the Philippines through the Western Command in partnership with the US-Navy Seabees conducts numerous construction of classrooms in Puerto Princesa and the province for seven years.
