A Western Command (WESCOM) nursing attendant was arrested Saturday, February 16, in front of a hotel in Barangay Tiniguiban for allegedly peddling shabu to a police asset in a buy-bust operation.
He was identified by city information officer Richard Ligad as Michael Angelo Suelo, who is considered to be a high-value target (HVT).
The arrest was conducted by the Puerto Princesa City Drug Enforcement Unit (PPCDEU) and the city government’s Anti-Crime Task Force (ACTF).
Suelo was arrested in front of a hotel along the national highway in Tiniguiban at around 7:30 p.m. with a shabu sachet bought from him by the police asset, the marked money amounting to P2,000 and five other sachets with white crystalline substances found inside his motorcycle.
“‘Yon nga, nabilihan ng asset natin itong suspek. Makikita niyo naman na sa harap ninyo tiningnan natin iyong motor niya at nakitaan pa natin ito ng lima pang pakete ng shabu at maging ‘yong mga drug paraphernalia nakuha rin natin,” Ligad said.
On the same day, the CDEU and the ACTF also arrested in a separate buy-bust suspected female drug pusher Alma Maran in Purok Matahimik, Barangay Sta. Lourdes around 9:00 p.m.
Maran is reportedly a street level target (SLT) who had already surrendered in the past. Confiscated from her were one sachet of suspected shabu and the marked money.
Both Maran and Suelo are now facing cases for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
