The city water district said the absence of water supply that was experienced on April 7 by residents in the barangays from Irawan to San Pedro was due to the valving adjustment conducted on Monday evening.

In a post on Tuesday, the Puerto Princesa City Water District (PPCWD) said that the valving adjustment was done to supply the areas of the city which are experiencing low to no water pressure.

“Nagkaroon ng valving adjustment last night (April 6) upang mapatubigan ang mga area sa City Proper na matagal ng nakakaranas ng mahina o kawalan ng daloy ng tubig,” according to the statement.

The water supply will be expected to resume at 12:00 noon on April 8, Wednesday.

Once the flow of water supply resumes, city consumers are advised to store water immediately.

“Ang tubig sa mga apektadong lugar ay babalik bukas, April 8, alas-12 ng tanghali. Pinapaalalahan ang lahat na mag-ipon sa oras na kayo ay magkaroon ng tubig,” PPCWD said.
