One unnamed official from the Department of Education (DepEd) in Palawan is being accused of extortion by some teachers in the province.

A recent post on Facebook said that an unnamed “supervisor” had been asking teachers for money from their Special Hardship Allowance.

Kapag may SHA( Special Hardship Allowance) hinihingian nya kami.

The supervisor also allegedly asks for P20,000 and other forms of payment for those who want to transfer or to get hired at DepEd immediately.

“Kailangan magdonate sa district like tv, electric fan, water dispenser.

Palawan News has sought a reaction from the Provincial DepEd office and was advised that they will issue an official statement on the matter.
