The trough of the low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) is affecting southern Mindanao, bringing showers to the region, including certain parts of the southern portion of Palawan.

PAGASA is currently not monitoring any tropical cyclones that will have a direct impact on the country.

In the remaining parts of Luzon, including Metro Manila, Castañeda said residents can expect good weather condition.

In some parts of Visayas and in CARAGA in the northeastern section of Mindanao can expect scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the trough of LPA. Residents are advised to be alert against flooding and landslides.

“Medyo mainit at maalinsangan po, lalo na yan sa tanghali, at meron ding mga tsansa ng pulo-pulong pag-ulan, pagkulog, at pagkidlat, dulot ng mga localized thunderstorms,” she said.
