The provincial government will ask the Department of Tourism (DOT) through the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) to construct a tourist information center in Dumaran town and two floating docks for Brgys. Casian and Poblacion in Taytay town.
Board Member David Francis Ponce de Leon, author of a resolution on the matter, said the tourist information center will help visitors access information about tourist destinations in Dumaran.
The town hosts Isla Pugon, Encantasia Island, Renambacan Island, Maruyog-ruyog Island, Calampuan Island, Dumaran Spanish port, and other attractions.
Aside from this, he said that the floating docks will provide a safer mode of water transport for vessels dropping anchor in the area.
“Napakaganda ng dive sites sa Dumaran and requesting TIEZA to put up information center will really help,” he said.
The floating docks, like the ones installed in El Nido, Port Barton, and Honda Bay, will help the two towns of Taytay in their tourist programs, Ponce de Leon said.
“Ang floating docks can be moved when waves are strong or when there is a storm. It will help tourists and fishermen,” he said.
