The city police is investigating the murder of three persons in Brgy. New Panggangan on Monday.

Crime investigators are still searching for leads to identify the suspects and looking for possible motives behind the crime.

The victims all died from hacks wounds. They were identified as Alberto Dumaran Bacatan, 57, Alberta Quiapo Bacatan, 60, and another known only as “Jojolawaylaway”. All were reported to be residents of New Panggangan.

Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) Station 2 deputy commander for operations P/Lt. Mark Anthony Maceda said there is no eyewitness to the crime, adding they are currently probing if the murders are linked to land sale transactions involving the victims.

He said the victims had no known enemies in the area.

He added that Alberto was last seen riding a boat bringing his child to school.
