Three concrete roads were recently handed over by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the office of 3rd District Rep. Gil Acosta Jr. to officials and residents of Barangay Mandaragat in Puerto Princesa City.

The concrete roads that Rep. Acosta handed over on August 17 were Tanguege Road, Bukang Liwayway, and Bisugo Road, according to Kabarangay information officer Agnes Acosta-Magdaug.

According to him, the DPWH, as the implementing agency, used Rep. Acosta’s local infrastructure budget to complete the projects.

She said that as the implementing agency, the DPWHĀ utilized the local infrastructure budget of Rep. Acosta to complete the concreting of the three roads.

“May road concreting kami doon kasi hiningi ng barangay. Siyempre, DPWH ang nagsagawa as the implementing agency using the local infrastructure budget ni Cong. [Gil]. Hindi lang ito isang kalsada kundi tatlo,” Acosta-Magdaug said.

The turn over ceremony, which strictly followed health protocols, was attended by Puerto Princesa Vice Mayor Ma. Nancy Socrates, Councilors Jimmy Carbonell and Nesario Awat, and guests from the DPWH.
