Three persons were arrested Tuesday for playing the shedding card game “pusoy” in Barangay Antipuluan, Narra.
The suspects were identified as Lea Ponce Hernando, 36; April Nicolas, 27, and Reynante Elegua, 41, all from the municipality.
Another suspect, Camila Delos Santos, 31, was able to flee with the playing cards and money.
Chief Insp. Ric Ramos, Palawan Provincial Police Office (PPPO) spokesperson, said the Narra municipal police station conducted the operation after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen.
Operatives seized the betting money worth P290.
The three suspects are now facing charges for violating Presidential Decree 1602 as amended by Republic Act 9287.
