An 18-year-old resident of Barangay Maryugon was arrested by the police on Monday for stealing a motorcycle.

In a police report sent by P/Col. Socrates Faltado, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA, the suspect was identified as Joshua Ibanyaz while the owner of the motorcycle he victimized was named as Jenyvie Arreglo, 31, a resident of Brgy. Sta. Lourdes.

Based on the investigation conducted by the police, Ibanyaz allegedly stole Arreglo’s black Mio Sporty which was parked inside a compound.

During a police follow-up operation of the case, Jeyromie Aquino, the victim’s brother, and a neighbor Arman Arreglado found the motorcycle in the possession of the suspect in Maryugon.

The suspect was then arrested there by the city police.
