A teen resident of Roxas was declared dead-on-arrival in a hospital after he accidentally ran over a coconut fruit that had fallen from a tree with his motorcycle Sunday morning.
Provincial police spokesperson P/Capt. Ric Ramos identified the victim as Rodel Jayona, 18, a resident of Barangay 4 in the same town.
The accident happened in Brgy. New Barbacan while Jayona was traveling in a village road from the north direction going to the south. A coconut fruit fell from the tree and rolled over the road, he said.
Ramos said the teen was unable to avoid the coconut fruit, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle.
