A 17-year old male was found dead Wednesday morning along the national road in Barangay Alfonso XIII, Quezon municipality.
Town police chief P/Maj. Lodell Lota said the victim was a resident of the same barangay.
Lota said the victim was riding a motorcycle along with a certain Nelson Saludar Tuesday night when they met an accident.
Lota said the two were under the influence of alcohol when they met the accident while traversing a bend on the national road in Alfonso XIII.
Rescuers from the Quezon Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) responded on the night of October 29 but missed locating Michael as he fell in a ditch.
Wala ding nakakita dahil madilim ang area,” he said.
Lota said Michael’s body was found around 8 a.m. Wednesday morning by a resident 30 meters away in the ditch’ grassy part from where Saludar was rescued.
Saludar is still in the hospital where he remains unconscious.
