Two persons were arrested by the police along Rafols Road in Brgy. Sta. Monica on Saturday morning carrying 12 containers of allegedly stolen fuel.
A police spot report identified the suspects as Ryan Garma, a resident of Pulot Shore, Sofronio Española, and Edan Syloman of Purok Bucana, Brgy. Matahimik.
The containers which were hauled into a tricycle have 30 liters of diesel worth P20,000.
Initial investigation of the Puerto Princesa City Police Office (PPCPO) Station 2 said personnel of the Anti-Crime Task Force (ACTF) was roving along Abanico Road in Brgy. San Pedro when they spotted the suspects acting suspiciously.
The suspects reportedly claimed that they bought them from BCT Trading and Construction Company but were unable to show proof of purchase.
The two suspects are facing charges of qualified theft.
